In Memoriam
Richard Biggs (Dr. Steven Franklin - Babylon 5)

I am deeply saddened at learning that actor Richard Biggs passed away last Saturday. Dr. Stephen Franklin was one of my favourite characters on the Babylon 5 series and he will be sorrowly missed. My Deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

• Carlos Santana told the "We Are The Future" concert in Rome there are two sides to America. One side "truly wants peace on earth without violence and brutality, without fear and anger"..on the other side..there's the Republicans.

• Iraq's Governing Council on Friday endorsed Iyad Allawi as its choice to become the country's new prime minister in a transitional government. It was unclear, however, whether United Nations envoy Lakhdar Brahimi had accepted the nomination.Brahimi, who is charged with assembling a new Iraqi government drawn from the country's diverse ethnic factions, has found it difficult to find suitable and willing candidates for office. On Thursday Canadian-trained nuclear scientist Hussain al-Shahristani declined the post of prime minister, which appeared to be his for the taking -- I think he was quoted as saying he is already regular and did not need any help with a bomb up the ass.

• and Hermann Dornemann, the oldest man in Germany, is celebrating his 111th birthday. He says the secret to his longevity is avoiding exercise and drinking lots of beer. He also drinks the water he boils his potatoes in saying that's where the vitamins are..that's why we like drinking the hot dog water..because that's where the anus is.
